Hi I'm Derek. My love for horror started waaaay back when I was a little poppet and saw Child's Play playing on television one late night. Naturally I didn't sleep for days...and of course I had to watch the sequels after that! 

So that along with Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark were my gateways into this genre! And I was lucky to find a friend who loves twisted and terrifying films like me!

I differ from my fellow Poppet Pal in that I tend to watch older horror movies more frequently while Poppet Katie stays up to date on newer movies! Between the two of us you have the perfect horror fan!

Anywho, I'm excited to relive all my favorite films and horror moments with you! As well as discover some new favorites along the way. 

Hi! I'm Katie and I'm excited to share one of my favorite things in this world... all things scary. My love for horror started when I was young and figured out that one of my favorite books (Goosebumps) was also a tv show. That, with Are You Afraid of the Dark & Tales From the Crypt, got me hooked. My parents use to call me Wednesday... The first horror movie I can remember seeing is Poltergeist & ghost stories are my favorite, but Horror in general is my go-to genre so I'm lucky to have a best friend that shares my enthusiasm. I'm a total 90s kid and love 90s to present day horror, but still enjoy the classics too. I like to go into a horror film completely in the dark while Derek likes to research the movie and I think this will give our discussions a cool dynamic. I'm so excited to dive into all things spooky with you, reliving the best scares & trolling all the terrible ones. I want to hear your opinions too so be sure to interact with us on all the things.
